Wyandot Day Camp provides a wonderful opportunity for children going into grades 1 – 6 to experience the joy of nature in a fun and safe environment. We focus on building outdoor living skills and developing a greater sense of self reliance. Campers will master new skills, try new things, and develop deep friendships. We value diversity, open -heartedness, and environmental sustainability and strive to instill these values in our campers.
Children going into grades 7 – 10 can participate in our Weal Leadership Program. Half of the Weals time is spent doing regular camp activities. The other half focuses on three areas of interest: Leadership, Advanced Camping Skills, and Community Service. See the “Jr. Counselor Program” tab for more information.
Wyandot Day Camp at Highbanks is located at Highbanks Metro Park on the north end of Columbus, OH. We operate primarily at the Dragon Fly Day Camp site at the park. On site are a shelter house, drinking fountain, restrooms, and parking. Park Rangers are always available for our safety. Located on Highbanks property and available for our use are a creek, hiking trails, nature center with air conditioning, and playgrounds.
